This policy describes how Aurea Collis Limited handles personal data in connection with aureacollis.com under Hong Kong’s Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486).
2. Information handled on the current website
The current site has no customer accounts, checkout, newsletter subscription or enquiry form. We do not collect payment card details through it. If you email us, we receive your email address, the name and other information you choose to include, your message and attachments. Our hosting services may process technical access data such as IP address, browser information, requested pages and timestamps to deliver and secure the website.
3. Why we use information
We use enquiry information to respond to you, handle website or product questions, address complaints and privacy requests, and maintain records where needed for legal or dispute purposes. Technical data is used to operate the website, diagnose errors and prevent abuse. We will not use information for an unrelated new purpose without the consent required by law.
4. Providing data is voluntary
You can browse without sending an enquiry. When contacting us, providing a reply email address and enough detail to understand your question is voluntary, but we may be unable to respond without them. Please do not send identity documents, card details or unnecessary sensitive information.
5. Service providers and disclosures
Technical access information may be processed through Cloudflare Pages hosting infrastructure. Enquiries sent to our Gmail address are handled through Google’s email service. Relevant information may be available to authorised people handling enquiries and service providers supporting hosting, email, security or professional advice, where necessary for the purposes above. We may disclose information where required by law or to protect legal rights. We do not sell personal data.
6. Overseas processing
Hosting and email providers may process or store information outside Hong Kong. We will take reasonably practicable steps to protect information handled by processors, including through appropriate service arrangements, and restrict its use to the relevant purposes.
7. Retention and security
We retain personal data only as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including applicable legal and dispute-handling needs. Enquiry records will be reviewed for deletion or anonymisation when no longer needed. Technical log retention is managed within the hosting provider’s services. We use reasonable access controls and service-provider safeguards; no internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
8. Cookies and marketing
The website code does not set advertising or analytics cookies, load third-party marketing pixels, or use customer-tracking analytics. Hosting infrastructure may use technical mechanisms needed for service delivery or security. We currently have no newsletter or direct-marketing sign-up. We will provide appropriate notice and obtain any required consent before introducing direct marketing.
9. Access, correction and complaints
You may request access to personal data we hold about you and correction of inaccurate data, subject to the Ordinance. Write to [email protected] with the subject “Privacy request”, or use our business address above. We may need reasonable information to verify your identity. We will handle requests within the applicable statutory time limits; a permitted, non-excessive access fee may apply. You may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data, Hong Kong about a privacy concern.
10. Notice for email enquiries
When you email us, we collect the data you choose to supply for responding to and managing that enquiry. Providing the information is voluntary, but insufficient contact or enquiry details may prevent us from assisting. The recipient classes and access/correction contact are described above. Clicking an email link opens your email provider, whose own privacy terms also apply.
11. Changes before sales launch
If we introduce orders, customer accounts, forms or additional tracking, we will update this policy and provide the appropriate collection notice before collecting that data. The revision date appears at the top of this page.
